This is amazing Lisette. I love that you were able to explain some of my thoughts and opinions 100% better than I could. It’s a sad thing, we humans can find ways to turn possibly such a beautiful technology into something destructive. I look forward to reading more from you and seeing more of your ART!! 🤩 Merci beaucoup fond du cœur ❤️
Thanks so much Josh! I'm so glad you're coming along for the ride! ❤️
I agree, I feel like social media had such potential, but we're now being rewarded for creating outrage and opposition rather than community and connection. But I feel like more and more people are feeling the way that we do, and will start to carve out new spaces online for creativity and sharing that don't feel as transactional or fast-paced.
YES! I completely agree. Just this past year learning French has opened new opportunities to talk with people in communities and has showed me the benefits of online social spaces :)
Interesting point of view Zette - I think how great it was when we left the house and went to the park, friends houses and wouldn’t come home until dark - no phone just see you later and a kiss on the cheek. No follow up reels, photos, snap chat, insta. I do remember spending hours on the phone to bf after a full day at school with her and your nana saying but you have just spent the whole day with her what on earth do you have to talk about 😂It felt simple compared to now. Follow your heart, shine big and bright and do what makes you happy 🥰
I remember you saying the exact same thing to me when I'd tie up the landline for 3 hours after school chatting with Alessia 😂
I'm so glad I grew up pre-social media (Facebook came around when I was 18) because I feel like I got to have a similar experience without the REALLY AWKWARD phases being posted online for everyone to see!
